Rustic Succulent Wedding Stationary

A friend of my sister got married recently. It was quite an organisational feat for everyone involved as the bride was living and working in England until just about a month or so before her big day and the groom (who's a Yankee from Springfield in Missouri, USA) only set foot on South African soil for the first time a week before saying "I do". So for months and months before this, my sister and I worked with the bride on designing her Rustic Succulent themed wedding stationary...and a few other little things, mostly communicating with each other through e-mails, Facebook and Pinterest.

Succulent themed events are really everywhere these days and there are so many great ideas out there for it, so it wasn't too difficult to find inspiration to get us started. Our first task was a design for the 'Save the Date' the couple wanted to email to all of their would-be guests.

(At this point we hadn't hatched GraceLily yet, so the Save the Date was designed by my sister under her art label 'Art by Ansu'. It was during the process of creating the invitation that GraceLily happened.)

We presented our bride with 3 preliminary wedding invitation designs and once she and her 'hubby to be' had picked their favourite, we set to work on refining it and adding all the rest of the wedding stationary they would be needing.

Something for the kids...a personalised activity book choc full of colouring pages, word games, etc. to keep them busy; & a wedding card they could colour and write a message in for the bride and groom (these were collected and went into the bride's wedding scrapbook). *We're planning a completely original activity book that could be personalised by clients and that will be available for ordering in the new year.

As a gift to her friend, my sister organised a photo booth to entertain the guests with while the wedding party was busy with the formal wedding photo-shoot. She printed out free 'props' found on the Internet, designed bunting flags, a poster and created a backdrop. Also part of this gift was a handmade guest/scrapbook for the photo booth pics that included cards she designed which the guests wrote their messages on for the happy couple, and bespoke Project Life cards that rounded everything off nicely.
My sister Ansu and I have been designing for friends and family for many years. GracyLily Invitation Co. is our attempt at finally going pro with what we love to do. Contact us for your event stationary needs...
